Cat Toy, I-Beam, and PTWA

Ok, So now that the bad framing for my Zentangle art show next week is done, I’m finally putting together the tangle pattern step outs I’ve been developing the last couple of months. Of course, I sprained my ankle really badly last night, and had to draw these on my lap as I’m laying on the couch with my foot above my heart! Please forgive any sloppy lines! First up, Cat Toy, which began as a Schena variation and went farther and farther from its source: Then onto vacation … I was visiting a friend in the Pacific Northwest and two patterns during my trip just...

Touchstone, Zenstone

Touchstone: “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” Muhammad Ali I do believe, strongly, that we are all called to help one another through this journey we call life.  I do some of the typical stuff: donate money, time, etc.  But my favorite, absolute favorite way of service is Random Acts of Art.  I don’t know who came up with the name but I read it and fell in love.  Who couldn’t use a little more art in their day?  A little visual pick-me-up for the daily grind?  Here’s my latest: A Zentangle tile I completed while on a 2...
